Clothes
Attire, Clothing, Wardrobe

It has been rumored that some celebrities have been paid to be seen in some designers clothes in public or on the red carpet for about a million dollars (and still are not properly fitted or have to be sewn into the garmet even after going to the bathroom by stylists and a tailor!).

Most people would rather spend money on their plants and yards than on their clothes!

Only a few jobs demand a high fashion image!

Sporty, non-fussy clothes tend to be favored by both sexes as items to be seen by the public, especially in California and the coastal areas of the United States, and even in Europe that wash and wear well, and do not take too long to dry; therefore, they can be considered energy efficient in design.

Fussy, SEE-THROUGH clothes are often for intimate, private occasions and NOT TO BE WORN IN PUBLIC.

It is best to have inexpensive clothes, but some like expensive classic clothes, especially for work.

Many complain that modern clothes are difficult to clean using modern products on modern, unnatural fabrics.

It can be best to have natural fabrics close to the skin, and unnatural fabrics as other layers that might wash and wear well and that should be inexpensive.

Inexpensive clothes are best for more physically demanding activities, or where the public tends to be less clean or responsible.

Expensive clothes may be best for home and controlled environments.

It is often best to by many colors of an item that works well in your life, and wear it a little like a uniform for certain activities.

It can be best to buy knits and cloths that do not need dry cleaning or much maintenance, or that travel well. checked>

Natural fibers tend to hold their color or dye well, or fade in a nice way and are said to breathe well, or not encourage excessive sweating.

Often it is good to only have 2 to 10 percent of a unnatural fiber in pants or a outer top and this will help the product last longer or be stronger, but will be difficult to clean if stained with oil.

Stains, oil and dirt are often easiest to clean from clothes made with natural fibers.

Clothes often stay in style for only about 3 years, and some clothes are easily destroyed in one year, even if they are name brands.

Often people out-grow their clothes in a year or their clothes are stretched out in a year, or worn out in a year.

Clothes tend to be very, very bad investments.

It tends to be best to be a little conservative about colors, texture, fit, shine, accessories with clothes.

It is not good to buy an item because it comes with a belt or other accessory that is currently in fashion.

WD-40 can treat blood and grease stains

It is often best to pay little attention to fashion trends of clothes.

Clothes are often best if they are too large, loose fitting with extra fabric, rather than too small.

Clothes vary is size according to manufacturer and it is often best to ignore size and labels.

Clothes, especially shoes or sports wear, can be bought in men's, woman's, children's departments for adults, children, males or females.

Roomy or deep pockets are best, especially in skirts and pants, and even in coats and jackets, but are especially usually needed in sportswear and suggest an expensive or well made detail.

Large buttons (except when a single very expensive or decorative button on a coat, skirt, jacket or pant), sleeves and pants legs other than short or long meaning usually three quarter length, garments tight in the knees and elbows TEND TO LOOK SILLY OR CHEAP OR NOT WEAR WELL OR STAY IN FASHION.

Dotty means crazy and dots tend to look foolish and unsophisticated. Rather a large pattern or a pattern with a single focal point tends to look more sophisticated. Anything too busy or creative tends to not wear well or look sophisticated. Asymmetrical tends to feel strange and look strange, even as if a mistake had not been intended in the design.

Small patterns do not look good on most people, unless they very subtle; unmatched large plaids tend to look cheap, but NOT all unmatched patterns tend to look cheap.

Bright colors tend to only be appreciated on darker skinned persons in hot climates, or as a small focal point in other conditions.

White is very difficult to keep clean or wear, and tends to only look good next to contrasting colors or on dark skin because it tends to make fair skinned persons seem ghostly or washed out in appearance.

There is a theory only children should wear bright colors or non-neutrals.

Some think those in conservative industries, such as law and banking, should wear neutrals.

Some think those in the creative fields should wear creative or colorful clothes.

Some people think people should dress in spring (pastels for blonds), fall (pure colors in the blue, green and purple shades for redheads with blue eyes), winter (bright colors, nearly neon for those with darker skin), or summer colors (more bright colors for darker skin).

Dark clothes with dark hair or dark skin can be gloomy and make a person appear to be about dark forces, and light clothes on light skin can make a person seem innocent and almost like an angle, or even a ghost, or a spirit.

Textured fabric, silky or skinny materials can seem sensual, sexy, rich or inviting.

It can be good to use clothes to set a mood: play, relaxed, work, religious, etc.

Lace or mesh can be very good for undergarments because it might not hold sweat or water, yet it can be strong enough for support.

If pants are not cut on the straight of grain, the inseam will constantly want to move to one side, which is uncomfortable and a sign of a poorly constructed garment, and this is usually done to save fabric.

Bias cut dresses usually only look good on curvy persons (they must be hung before hemmed to have a straight hem to allow the fabric to stretch), but will likely always have be longer in the area of greatest bias.

Some fabrics hold color better than others, or have a natural body to them (cotton and wool), or hold a crease better than others (cotton and wool), or do not wrinkle better than others (cotton and wool), and tend to be used with less desirable fabrics or to get spun considering the strengths of both fabrics, such as wool, cotton, silk tend to hold dye well but all wrinkle; linen, some rayon, bamboo wrinkles; therefore, unnatural fabrics, such as polyester tend to get mixed with wool, cotton, silk, linen, rayon, bamboo;10 % polyester is often enough to give better wearability to most natural fibers.

Contrast, such as blank and white, and/or the feeling the attire brings to mind can be of great importance, often more so than fit and quality.

Frequently clothes seen on models are shown in a pose that is completely unnatural, and image is what is being sold. It is often best to look and the garment and decide if the image is not for you, and if there really is any quality product being sold. Clothes, especially designer, are often horrible investments.

Sweaters and knits can run and pill, and are especially difficult to preserve if they are of a fine weave, and should be kept in cedar to avoid being eaten by insects, if they are made of wool or other animal fur or hair, and they will likely shrink if washes or dried using heat.

Knits are usually popular because they tend to travel well and need less ironing, but sometimes can use a little shaping or positioning on a flat service when drying because they can pull and stretch in to a new shape.

Many clothes, even cotton or silk can shrink about an inch or more on pants, so the fabric should be tested or prewashed or always bought a little big.

Clothes are horrible investments, can be difficult to clean, maintenance care is part of the cost of an outfit, image seen in advertisements with strange poses shouldn't encourage the purchase of a designer outfit. It is rare that a garment is worn, in fashion, lasts for more than three years, SO IT IS OFTEN BEST TO BUY VERY INEXPENSIVE CLOTHES WITH ABOUT 2-10% OF SOME STRONGER FIBER IN THEM. A more advanced concept about clothes is putting bright colors on a person with brightly colored hair or eyes because some feel only those with more neutrally colored skin, eyes or hair should wear bright colors, and those with more brightly colored skin, eyes or hair should wear neutrals or only one brightly colored item of clothing. Unique style and behavior with the right attitude may be more important than designer clothes!

The high cost of clothes does NOT mean it they have high value, or reflect their value.
