The movie Proof of Life is an excellent example of an insurance company insuring that a policyholder stays alive after being kidnapped, and is one of the best movies I know of that shows the true nature of insurance. The insurance professional keeps the policyholder alive, and helps the wife of the policyholder do the right thing, investigates the local government, and used to work for another government. Under Our Skin (2010) is about external insurance corruption and Saint John of Las Vegas (2009) is about internal insurance corruption; Cedar Rapids (2010) insurance employee gets corrupted; Entrapment (1999), The Thomas Crown Affair (1999) is about possible seduction of a female insurance investigator, and Risk (2001) corruption of a male insurance investigator.
