Leadership is often best by example or done by volunteering to solve a problem or do a task.

Leaders do not need to flaunt the fruits of their labor.

Please beware of the cult of personality, often false Leadership that is common in publications.

Leaders usually do not emphasis style over substance.

Leaders tend to function well in the worst of situations, environments, and even without their worldly goods.

The Knowledge base, talent, even without their usual trapping tends to place Leaders in high places.

Leaders tend to be good at dealing with unusual situations, person, assets, cultures, environments, files, cases, circumstances, governments.

Leaders see reuse and potential in almost anywhere and are careful not to destroy assets, tend to have many friends and few enemies.

Adapting to new ideas, resources, and technologies is a trait of the best Leaders.

Better Leaders do not have false associations with charities for a price just to get publicity and are not publicity seekers.

A Leader's Image can be improperly tarnished, but over time their creations increase in value.

Better Leaders tend to improve standard, bring innovations to the marketplace.

The best leaders are often in unlikely places and doing unlikely things and often do not want to draw attention to themselves.

Government support isn't needed by the best leaders.

The best leaders do not need large advertising budgets.

Working for part of the profits, rather than on salary, shows the confidence of leaders.

Utilizing the big picture, taking the long view, hoping to be remembered well in history are traits leaders.

Overnight success does not seem to exist for long, but those with a strong foundation or deep base with the right core beliefs tend to be valued forever as leaders.

Some leaders have posterity complexes, which means they tend to be more concerned about how they are remembered in the future than in the present.

Leaders tend to promote individual initiative, freedom, responsibility, autonomy, decentralization, compromise, and fairness.

The better Leaders likely are NOT DRIVEN BY CONCERN FOR THEMSELVES, but rather on a concern for the greater good. They do not need to constantly seek publicity for themselves. They tend to be comprehensive in their thinking, willing to look at the big picture, and to see solutions to large problems. Pure and unselfish motives rarely exist in reality!

The best Leaders are motivated by the concern for the greater good.

Leaders catalyze rather than control.
